Donald Trump remains unfazed by the scorching 100-degree weather and refuses to prioritize the well-being of his supporters who brave the heat to attend his events.
Despite the scorching heat wave that has hit the U.S. Southwest, the Trump campaign is pushing through with their scheduled rally in Las Vegas on Sunday.
According to the Associated Press, Trump was scheduled to give a speech at noon, coinciding with the peak of the day’s heat, which was projected to reach 100 degrees.
Just days after 11 individuals were hospitalized due to heat exhaustion during a Phoenix town hall, where Trump passionately spoke out against his recent conviction in the New York hush-money trial and demanded an appeals court to overturn it, the rally took place.
At the Nevada rally, attendees were allowed to bring their own water bottles and umbrellas by the U.S. Secret Service to help them cope with the blazing hot weather.
Trump has held three rallies in Nevada this year, despite having lost the swing state twice in the past. This marks his second campaign event since being found guilty of 34 charges in New York.
A recent poll conducted by CBS News/YouGov over the weekend revealed that President Donald Trump and President Joe Biden are in a tight race in battleground states.
The state of Nevada was included in a survey among seven other states, namely Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
According to CNN, there is a new campaign called “Latino Americans for Trump” that will be launched during Trump’s visit to Las Vegas on Sunday. Republicans are hoping to take advantage of Biden’s difficulties in gaining support from Latino voters.
As per Politico’s report, the Democratic National Committee had a plan to reveal a billboard ad in close proximity to Trump’s rally, labeling him as a “convicted white-collar crook”.
