The Young People’s Society of St. John Lutheran Church will host a BBQ Beef Dinner on June 8, 2013, at Farmers’ Hunt Club. Menu consists of beef, beans, slaw, dessert and drink. The meal will be served 5:30 – 7:00 p.m. and is eat-in or take out. Proceeds will be used for the National Youth Conference being held in San Antonio, TX. 5 week class, The Greensville/Emporia Extension will be offering Private Pesticide Applicator Certification trainings for categories 90-Food, Fiber, Forestry Products and Commodity Production Pest Control and 91-Ornamental Production Pest Control. Trainings will be held from 4pm-6pm at the Greensville/Emporia Extension Office for 5 weeks beginning on Wednesday, June 12th. Trainings will consist of a 2 chapter review to cover all chapters in the core manual and then conclude with the private pesticide applicators test which will be sent to VDACS. If you are interested in becoming a certified private pesticide applicator please contact Brittany A. Council at 434-348-4233 to register.
